Hoses and adapters are inexpensive compared with a complete kit, but a wrong connection can make the whole kit unusable. Do not order them from a photo or a vague “standard fitting” description. Build a connection map for the actual airbrush, compressor, regulator, and adapter in the proposed configuration.

1. Build the connection map
Record both ends of every connection:

Ask for a dimensioned drawing or written fitting specification when the part is not already mapped to an approved internal SKU.
2. Match the hose to the use case
Choose length and construction against the real working position:
- portable beauty or nail kit: flexible, compact, easy to pack
- desk hobby kit: enough length for the bench without unnecessary loops
- event or body-art kit: quick setup and repeated short-session handling
- repair station: durable routing and easy replacement
- distributor spare pack: stable part code and simple customer instructions
3. Test the connection, not only the part
Use the proposed hose and adapter with the approved gun and compressor:
- 1Assemble both ends by hand before applying pressure.
- 2Check thread engagement and sealing.
- 3Run the compressor at the intended working pressure.
- 4Spray through the complete air path.
- 5Move the hose through the expected working position.
- 6Check leakage, pressure drop, stiffness, and kinking.
- 7Disconnect and reconnect the adapter.
- 8Record the approved combination and any required seal or washer.
4. Package and label the accessory correctly
Each hose or adapter SKU should show:
- internal part code
- product or kit relationship
- connection details
- hose length where applicable
- quantity
- installation direction or basic setup note
- packaging version and barcode if required
Avoid labels such as “universal airbrush adapter” unless the technical evidence actually supports that scope.
5. Include the accessory plan in the main RFQ
Send:
- airbrush and compressor SKU
- fitting details if known
- hose length and construction preference
- adapter, coupler, regulator, or moisture-trap requirement
- required quantity by kit and spare pack
- packaging and label language
- target market and plug or voltage if the accessory is packed with a compressor
- sample test requirement
- MOQ and target delivery date
6. Protect the reorder path
Do not describe a hose or adapter as an official replacement or as compatible with a third-party brand or model without confirmed evidence and legal review. Use the approved product SKU, internal part code, fitting description, and tested configuration.
